Super Bowl Sunday is this weekend and that means two things: One is that football season is officially ending but the other is it's prime time to indulge in all that game day food before it's over! As a football mom herself, Ree Drummond understands both. She's spent plenty of time under Friday night lights when her two boys Bryce and Todd played high school football for the Pawhuska Huskies, oftentimes with snacks for the whole team in tow. "Friday night football. College football. NFL football. Fantasy football... have I mentioned that we're a football family?" she says.
Here, you'll find a list of the Drummond family's favorite Super Bowl snacks. They're simple, they're easy, and all perfect for a crowd, especially a crowd full of football fans. Wings, nachos, and homemade dips are all here to represent the classics, but there are also fun, one-of-a-kind bites cooked up by the Pioneer Woman herself. Try the handheld sliders with spicy whiskey BBQ beef ("when I took my first bite, I actually heard angels singing," she says) or the bacon-wrapped jalapeño "thingies" that her sister-in-law Missy first introduced to family functions and have remained a mainstay ever since. Whether you're hosting a whole crew or just huddled around the TV with your closest family, these finger foods will bring everyone together from kickoff through overtime. Prep a whole batch of these snacks and share in the comments which one is the champion pick. It might be all of them, as Ree would say: "I think appetizers are my favorite food group."
