Save time and precious stove space this holiday season by making air fryer green beans. They couldn't be easier or faster to make—simply toss them with a small amount of olive oil and seasoning, then add to the basket of an air fryer. The circulating heat of the air fryer helps to cook them through, while keeping a pleasant bite. They make a convenient side dish for Thanksgiving (especially a small Thanksgiving for two!) or a simple pairing for an easy dinner.

How do you cook green beans in an air fryer?

Start by trimming the ends of the green beans. It is only necessary to trim the side of the green bean that has a woody stem. The end with the thin string is fine to leave on, as long as it is fresh and green. Place the beans in a large bowl and toss with olive oil, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Place all of the beans in the basket of an air fryer and cook at 375° or 380° degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 12 minutes, stopping half way through to toss the beans in the basket.

What is so great about air fried green beans?

Air fryer green beans have a texture like fried or blistered green beans, without having to heat up a skillet. This air fryer recipe is also contrary to what we normally recommend when cooking with an air fryer—it's okay to crowd the basket! Adding a whole pound of green beans to the basket at once, creates a little bit of steam, which helps to cook the beans through their centers, while still preserving some texture and crunch.

What can I serve with air fryer green beans?

Think hearty meat: Thanksgiving turkey, beef tenderloin, or pot roast all beg for a side of air fryer green beans.

    seasoned salt

  • 1/2 tsp.
