Ingredients
- 3 lb.
assorted apples
- 1 cup
apple juice or apple cider
Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup
light brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp.
cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp.
kosher salt
Directions
- Step 1Peel the apples and cut into 1-inch chunks.
- Step 2Combine the apples with the apple juice or cider, the lemon juice, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker. Stir and cover. Cook on high for 4 hours, stirring halfway through.
- Step 3Puree with an immersion blender. Let cool before refrigerating.
