It's impossible to eat just one of these sweet, salty, and spicy party snacks! Stuffed with Heluva Good! Bacon Horseradish Dip and wrapped in bacon, these delicious dates pack a ton of flavor in just a few bites. The creamy dip adds a punch of flavor, making them perfect for a game day potluck and a crowd favorite at any gathering. While you should bake them with plain wooden toothpicks to keep the bacon from unfurling, swapping in decorative picks just before serving helps them fit any theme.

Ingredients

slices bacon, cut in half

Directions

1. Step 1Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and fit with a wire rack; set aside.
2. Step 2In a small bowl, mix together the honey, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and 2 tablespoons water; set aside.
3. Step 3Use a small knife to halve each date lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through. Remove the pits if necessary. Scoop ½ teaspoon to 1 teaspoon Heluva Good! Bacon Horseradish Dip in each date, depending on the size. Do not overfill. Pinch the dates closed to seal in the filling.
4. Step 4Wrap a piece of bacon around each date and secure with a toothpick before placing on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and use a pastry brush to brush each date with some honey-pepper glaze.
5. Step 5Return the dates to the oven and continue to bake until the bacon is shiny and crisp, 5 to 7 minutes more. Remove, and let cool slightly (they will be very hot) before serving with more Heluva Good! Bacon Horseradish Dip for dipping.
