Every holiday celebration should start with a toast, and this festive, ruby-red Thanksgiving punch is made for everyone at the table. The non-alcoholic drink is made with a refreshing mix of cranberry juice, orange juice, lime juice, grenadine, and a fizzy splash of ginger ale. It's the perfect sweet-tart companion to bites of turkey and creamy mashed potatoes! You can make a grown-up version by adding vodka and orange liqueur.

How many people does this Thanksgiving punch serve?

This punch is a made for a party, yielding 14 to 16 cups, depending on the addition of alcohol. This quantity can generously serve 16 to 20 guests, depending on your cup size.

Can I make Thanksgiving punch in advance?

Most of the ingredients in the punch can be mixed ahead and chilled the day before serving. Wait until just before serving to add the ginger ale, fruit, rosemary, and ice.

What's the difference between ginger ale and ginger beer?

Ginger ale is a non-alcoholic, sweet, ginger-flavored soda, while ginger beer tends to be spicier and more strongly ginger flavored. Modern ginger beer is typically not classified as alcoholic because it contains less than 0.5 percent alcohol. If you prefer a more robust flavored punch, you could offer both ginger ale and ginger beer as a bubbly topper to the punch.
