There’s just nothing better than whipping up your very own fajita seasoning. You'll feel like a kitchen hero creating something extra special completely from scratch. This homemade blend is smoky, bold, and perfectly balanced. Toss it with sizzling peppers and onions, sprinkle it over juicy steaks or chicken, or even jazz up a simple pan of roasted veggies. Trust me, you’ll never go back to store-bought again. Keep a jar handy—it’s about to become your new secret weapon in the kitchen!

To fill your pantry with more homemade spice blends, try this go-to taco seasoning, turkey seasoning, and ranch seasoning.

How much fajita seasoning should I use for beef and chicken?

Figure on about 1/4 cup fajita seasoning for 1 1/2 pounds of beef or chicken. But don't stop there. You can use the same ratio of spice mix to protein with shrimp and vegetables. I like to rub it on meaty portobellos before grilling.

Can I customize fajita seasoning?

Sure! The beauty of homemade spice blends is that you can double down on ingredients you love, and skip any ingredients you, well, don't. If you like your fajitas hot and spicy, add more red pepper flakes or chili powder. For a smokier flavor, use smoked paprika. If you're not a fan of cumin, skip it altogether.

How should I store fajita seasoning?

Keep leftover seasoning in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a month.
