As explained by Kamara Turner, Manager of Retail Communications at Walgreens, "For the second year in a row, Walgreens is giving thanks to its hard-working employees by closing the majority of its retail stores for the Thanksgiving holiday (Thursday, Nov. 28) to allow team members more time to spend with loved ones. To ensure customers are prepared for Thanksgiving with any last-minute decor, groceries or wellness items, Walgreens shoppers can place orders online for 1-hour delivery or schedule 30-minute in-store pickup for Wednesday, Nov. 27, ahead of the Thanksgiving Day closure."
