You can make a lot of warm memories with your loved one on winter dates, but there's something about summertime that just spells romance. With your sweetie by your side, take on the great outdoors by going hiking, biking, or swimming. You could even just read or lounge lazily in the backyard together, preferably in a cozy hammock for two. Summer festivals and cultural experiences abound, too, which makes it easy to play the tourist in your own town. You can also get creative by making a DIY summer craft like a fire pit or stock tank pool and then enjoying it together on a date.

Since there's no shortage of fun summer things to do, electronic devices should be far from your minds (and hands). Instead, you should focus on making memories with your very favorite person. Take pictures with an old camera. Plan a spa date at home. Bring back childhood activities that you used to do during summers long ago like riding roller coasters and snacking on carnival food. Or try something new like pickleball or axe throwing and have a little fun competition.

While some of these ideas take some planning, some you can do spur of the moment. Set your alarm to watch the sunrise together or take a drive and turn up the tunes. Regardless of how much time you can spend together, any one of these summer date ideas is sure to spark a little romance in your relationship. So, take your pick and get out there and have some fun in the sun!
