25 Best Scenic Drives in the U.S. to Add to Your Travel Bucket List

Snap a picture and remember these views.

There's nothing like packing all of your friends or family into the car for an epic road trip. Just ask Ree Drummond: Her family took a nine-hour road trip to the Colorado mountains over Christmas vacation a few years ago. (Her advice? Take stretch breaks and bring coffee—lots of coffee. 😂) But while some road trips are about the destination, others are all about the journey. And that's what you'll find on this list!

Here, you can browse the best scenic drives in the U.S., including drives with breathtaking ocean and mountain views, plenty of amazing overlooks, hiking, and photo ops along the way. There are a couple of drives that will make you feel like you're floating across sparkling blue waters (hello, Overseas Highway in Florida!) or taking a "highway to the sky" (the unofficial nickname for Trail Ridge Road in Colorado, America's highest continuously paved highway). You'll also find some of the best places to see fall foliage on this list, like Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire and Blue Ridge Parkway in the Carolinas and Virginia.

No matter which trip you choose, you're in for miles and miles of unforgettable natural beauty. Oh, and don't forget your favorite road trip snacks so you can enjoy every moment on a full stomach!
