Everyone has a go-to Christmas movie! You know, that one festive film that sets you up for a cozy day curled up on the couch with cookies and milk. If you're searching for a starting point, A Charlie Brown Christmas is always a great pick. It's the perfect family-friendly Christmas movie to play at any holiday party, and that makes it a Christmas classic for a reason.

Watching this staple animated Christmas flick is one of those holiday traditions that makes the season feel extra warm and fuzzy. All of the Peanuts holiday classics—It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and A Charlie Brown Christmas—used to air annually on network television for decades. The year 2022, however, was the first time that tradition stopped. A Charlie Brown Christmas (and the others in the holiday series) did not air on TV in 2023 either. Wondering what that means for this year? Read on for more information on how you can stream it in 2024.

How to Watch A Charlie Brown Christmas on TV in 2024

You might remember the days when you could watch the Peanuts holiday specials on PBS, but ever since Apple TV+ signed a deal with Peanuts Worldwide, they are now the sole holders of the Peanut franchise—with no other streaming service or television network able to show it.

With that said, you can still watch the holiday special on Apple TV+. It costs $9.99 a month to subscribe, but you can also sign up for a 7-day free trial. Also, you can stream it for free without a subscription on December 14 and December 15! You'll just need to head to the Apple TV+ website or mobile and television app on those days for access.

Is A Charlie Brown Christmas on Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. You can't watch A Charlie Brown Christmas on Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+. It's not even available to rent on Amazon Prime Video. But it's just another reason to check out the selection of shows on Apple TV!

What Is A Charlie Brown Christmas about?

Christmas is an interesting time for Charlie Brown! He's not really feeling the whole "show" that people put on for the holidays, especially since he thinks everyone cares more about the materialistic aspect of it. So, he decides to take charge of everything (with some nudging from Lucy), and becomes the director of the school's Christmas fiasco. Think of a play, that's sort of like a pageant, with the spirit of a pep-rally (all holiday-themed, of course!). If it sounds complicated, that's because it is. In fact, it begins to frustrate Charlie Brown like no other, and he ends up having to request the help of Linus—which just adds to the chaos of it all.

In all, it's a wholesome watch that'll definitely bring out a few chuckles from everyone.
