Get to Know the Official '1923' Cast Before the Premiere

Yup. Take that in. Indiana Jones himself will be taking a leading role in 1923, and we couldn't be more excited. Ford will play Jacob Dutton, the patriarch of the Yellowstone ranch.

Ford is best known for his roles in the Indiana Jones franchise, the Star Wars franchise, and films like Witness, Blade Runner, The Fugitive, and more.

Make way! Hollywood queen Helen Mirren will soon be joining the Yellowstone universe. We told you—these fans are blessed, y'all! Mirren will play Cara Dutton, the wife to Jacob Dutton and family matriarch. There are theories that she is a powerful Dutton woman. You know, just like Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) in Yellowstone, and Faith Hill (Margaret Dutton) and Isabel May (Elsa Dutton) in 1883.

Mirren has done it all and then some. She received an Academy Award for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen, a Tony Award for the same role in The Audience, and four Primetime Emmy Awards, including two for Prime Suspect.

Timothy Dalton will play Donald Whitfield. And from what we saw in the trailer, he will be one of the primary villains of 1923. He's the apparent "neighbor" of Jacob and Cara, but it's clear that he's anything but neighborly.

Dalton took the role as James Bond back in the '80s for the movies License to Kill and The Living Daylights.

Right now, we know that Sebastian Roché's character is Father Renaud, a religious leader figure and headmaster of a school for American Indians in Montana.

Roché had roles in a few different series, including Supernatural, Roar, and the film Burning at Both Ends.

Jennifer Ehle will play the character Sister Mary, an Irish nun who works alongside Father Renaud at his school for American Indians.

Ehle has been in a number of prominent films, such as Pride and Prejudice, The King's Speech, and most recently, She Said.

Brandon Sklenar will play Spencer Dutton, who is described as “Jacob Dutton’s nephew and John Dutton Sr.’s (Dale) brother, who has witnessed the horrors of World War I.”

You might recognize Sklenar from his role as Burt Reynolds in Paramount's limited series The Offer. The actor has a few other credits under his belt, including roles in Westworld, Mapplethorpe, The Magic Lantern, The Big Ugly, and Vice.

From what we know now, Darren Mann will play Jack Dutton. Jack is John Dutton Sr.'s son and great-nephew to Jacob Dutton. He knows the ins and outs of the family ranch like no other and will play a pivotal role in the show.

You might recognize Mann as Luke in the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018). He also played guest roles in Let the Right One In (2015), Wayward Pines (2015), and Van Helsing (2016).

Michelle Randolph will play Elizabeth Strafford. The character is said to be a "feisty and capable young woman," who will more than likely marry into the Dutton family.

Before 1923, Randolph had roles in the movies Chasing Nightmares and A Snow White Christmas.

James Badge will take on the role of John Dutton Sr. He is the oldest nephew and the closest friend of Jacob Dutton. There's nothing like a Western bromance!

Badge's most recent works include Small Engine Repair, Safety Coach, and The Empty Man.

Marley Shelton will be Emma Dutton. Emma is the wife of John Dutton Sr. and the mother of Jack Dutton. More information about her character will be disclosed closer to the premiere.

You might remember Shelton from her role in Scream. Her other works include Manhunt, Open Season, and Ride or Die.

Aminah Nieves will play Teonna Rainwater, who is described as a young woman at a government residential boarding school.

Nieves is relatively new to the acting scene, but has played a lead role in the movie Blueberry in 2021.

Brian Geraghty will play Zane, a foreman on the ranch.

You probably know Geraghty from his role in Big Sky, a reoccurring television series since 2020.

Julia Schlaepfer will play Alexandra. Interestingly enough, Alexandra is a British woman who meets one of the Duttons abroad. Wonder how this will tie in!

Schlaepfer's most recent works include The Politician, Instinct, and Madam Secretary.
