What's the best way to celebrate a big milestone anniversary? With a pretty party, of course! And that's just what Ree Drummond did this week in Dallas. She hosted a big event in honor of the brand new relaunch of The Pioneer Woman collection, and celebrated ten years at Walmart for The Pioneer Woman brand.
The collection refresh has taken about three years to develop, so it's definitely worth a celebration! "Through the years, working on my collection has just been pure joy. It's one of my favorite things I do," Ree explained to her guests, comprised of creators, Walmart leadership, and Ree's family. They were treated to a preview of her brand new collection and a luncheon surrounded by gorgeous floral arrangements.
Speaking of flowers, guests were also encouraged to create their own take-home bouquets at a gorgeous floral bar set up at the event. (Ree is known to be a fan of repurposing kitchenware like pitchers as vases, so she had to let the guests get in on that action!)
Ree wanted to make sure the event was fun, thoughtful, and memorable, so similar to the guest activities Paige had at her recent wedding there were also custom embroidered napkins (PW napkins, of course) and personalized fashion sketches available.
But of course, the main focus was the gorgeous collection of The Pioneer Woman products featuring the newly expanded Agatha and Colette dinnerware patterns with coordinating cookware. When Ree launched at Walmart in 2015, the collection was bright and cheerful with vintage-inspired details. While the vintage feel remains, the new patterns and colors are more subtle and subdued, with a heavy emphasis on layering and mixing.
Why the change? "About three years ago, I started noticing a shift in my own aesthetic," Ree explained. She felt herself gravitating towards more neutrals and her love of vintage transferware was a natural fit. The new dinnerware options are also designed to easily mix and match between colors and patterns!
During dessert, daughters Alex and Paige joined Ree on stage for a Q&A. Topics ranged from the family filming her show to how much all of them love the new relaunch. "I love this collection because you still have the beautiful Pioneer Woman florals, but it's a lot more subtle," said Paige, a lover of neutrals. Alex, who is more into color agreed, saying, "I think it's all gorgeous!"
At the close of the event, Ree shared just how personal the collection feels to her: "The stories behind the products do matter and the reason and motivation behind the designs, behind the colors, people connect with those."
Here are some more gorgeous scenes from the event!
