I’ve gotten so used to taking my daily trip to the Lodge for update photos, I’ll probably continue it until the year 2098 if that’s okay by you.
By then I might actually have hung some stuff on the walls.
Here’s the half-bath in the front of the house. The tall mirror was Jerry’s idea. That dude has so many tricks up his sleeve!
And yes, this sink will eventually have…a faucet.
The runway/concrete countertop in the kitchen has three coats of sealer…and needs another one. That concrete was parched!
Here’s part of the chopping block countertop.
Our cabinet guy came and picked up this section of butcher block, so he could cut out the hole for the vegetable sink. I haven’t shown you the sink yet, but you’re gonna laugh. I think I’ve finally lost my marbles.
Missy and I bought this lamp at Pottery Barn the day after Christmas. I like it. I’m not sure it belongs right here, but I like it.
Jerry put up some large mirrors in the bathroom. I miss the old rustic ones, but I love the way it expanded the “view” in the bathrooms!
I’m wearing my hair in a bun in these photos. Don’t ask—I was pretending I was back in my ballet days and…
Never mind.
Those little dots around the frame are screw covers; we’ll stain them to match the mirrors.
I grabbed some simple brushed stainless knobs to go with the stainless countertop in the laundry room. And finally, today we’ll be running the washer and dryer through its first cycle.
I might shed a tear.
These are the beds I got for three of the bedrooms at the Lodge. I ordered them…get this…ONLINE the week of Thanksgiving, and the truth is, I had no idea what I was getting.
I was so happy to see that they were extraordinarily well made, and so sturdy, they don’t move a lick if you try to shake them.
One of my very few successful online Hail Mary purchases.
