Easter is always such a fun, food-filled weekend for the Drummond family, and this year was no different. We're talking arm wrestling, biscuits and gravy (on paper plates š), and photos, photos, photos. Plus, the addition of two puppies to the crew!
Mind, Sunday was a poignant holiday for the Drummonds. It was the first Easter since Pa-PaāLadd's dad, Chuckāpassed away late last year. It's always a hard one when there's an empty seat at the table, but it was also a beautiful time for the whole family to gather together. And that's what the holiday is all about, right?
In magical Ree fashion, she was able to write an Instagram post to describe the day that was both deeply touching and funny all at once.
"Easter at Chuck & Nanās house, the way itās always been," Ree wrote. "We miss them, they loved Easter. But so great to be togetherāour big, wacky crew. We skipped the ham and sides and wound up doing biscuits and gravy on paper plates. Maybe paper plates are why Iām smiling in these pics? š Happy Easter, friends! ā¤ļø"
Of course, all the girls had to take a picture together too. In the second pic, Alex, Betsy, Ree, and Paige got their own adorable shot. Alex was sporting a shorter sunny floral dress, while Paige was wearing a super cute maxi spring dress. And Ree and Betsy? Well, they looked like something right out of Ree's spring clothing line! With all those cowboys, you definitely need a sisters moment. š
Paige also shared the image in her own Instagram post, where you can see even more of the family shenanigans. The younger generation of Drummonds all posed together for a cousins pic (all the kids showed up wearing their best), and everyone enjoyed a bit of the spring sunlight on the deck. Paige's "friend" Mitchell, who attended his first Drummond Easter in 2022, was there again this year. Plus, Ree and Paige cooked two skillet graviesāwhich they served up on paper plates nonetheless. (Hey, anything to make the holidays easy!)
