The Drummonds officially have a full house! And no, we're not talking about Ree's kids who have all since left the nest—we're talking about the motley crew of Drummond Ranch dogs who keep Ree and her cattle-ranching husband Ladd company!
We all know that Ree's beloved basset hounds hold a special place in her heart, but she's also known to have a soft spot for her yellow labs, Duke and Lucy. "Our dogs are our friends, companions, and soul mates," Ree says. They dutifully trail after Ree on her evening strolls and help Ladd out with work on the ranch. Of course, they also love a ride from time to time! And let's not forget about all the silly content they provide. (You know those slow-motion videos of the basset hounds running with their ears flopping!)
If that weren't enough to put a smile on your face, Ree has officially welcomed another pup onto the ranch (and it's not Alex's dog, George). May we present the newest Drummond ranch dog: Shelby!
Ree took to Instagram today to introduce the cute helper:
"This is Shelby," she captioned the photo, "She's new here."
"She's a funny little doggie," Ree said, "I can't look at her and not chuckle." 😆
Maybe it's her feisty puppy personality, the wagging tale, or the one perked up ear that makes her so special, but Ree went on to say, "I mean... Shelby you're the best!"
While the basset hounds seem to be adjusting well to their new doggie friend, Shelby has definitely proven to be a bit more assertive.
"Shelby inserts herself," Ree said in a video with the dogs on the ranch. 😂
Looks like there's more Drummond dog content to come—and we're here for it! 🐾
