Nothing can compare to quality family time!

And that's exactly how Ree Drummond spent her recent vacation in Vail, Colorado. In case you didn't know by now, Vail holds a special place in Ree's heart—it's the home to one of her favorite chapels and the place where she's even spent Christmas Eve with her kids. This time around, Ree took the opportunity to say goodbye to summer by spending some quality time with her nephew Stu, along with her hubby, Ladd, and daughter, Paige.

The crew enjoyed hitting the town for food, whiskey, and some peaceful moments in the great outdoors. Ree even showed off her nephew in a proud auntie moment on Instagram:

"I'm not like a regular aunt, I'm a cool aunt," she captioned the post.

You might remember Stu from when he helped the Drummond kids film Ree's show The Pioneer Woman. "I love this kid so much, and we've had the greatest laughs," Ree wrote about her time spent with Stu during those months of filming.

Luckily, Ree got to share plenty of time with Stu in Vail during their most recent vacation, which also included a fun moment where Ree and Ladd shared the secret to their 27-year marriage. (It had to do with ordering fries and onion rings! 😉)

Ree's daughter, Paige, also joined in on the fun, sharing photos from a fishing adventure in nearby Eagle River.

It's clear that Vail is the Drummond family happy place and getting to spend time there with Stu made it all the more special, even if they needed to "walk off the whiskey." 😂

Just kidding, all's well that ends well! Ree's final post of the vaca really sums it up.
