One special pup celebrated his first birthday! 🐶
It's been almost a year since Alex Drummond and her husband Mauricio brought home George, their golden retriever puppy—and hoo boy, what a whirlwind it's been. The summer was spent splashing in the sun and playing games on the lawn, trips to the ball park, and long walks on the leash (on which George may or may not have dragged his paws). Take it from the Drummonds and their dogs on the ranch—pets give us the best memories.
Emphasizing that point, Alex posted a sweet tribute reel looking back on George's first year as part of the family—and it's hard to believe how quickly he's grown up!
Just look at that little golden floof. 😍 The floppy ears. The itty-bitty paws. The silly grin. The constantly wagging tail.
We know, it's all too much to handle.
If that weren't enough, Alex and Mauricio hosted a dog-friendly birthday party in the backyard complete with bone decorations, a garland saying "Let's Pawty," and gold foil balloons. Oh, and did we mention the dog-friendly cake? Even other neighborhood dogs joined the fun!
"Happy 1st birthday to the dog we love just a liiiiiittle too much," Alex wrote on Instagram. "Here's to many more fun years with George the golden floof! 🥰"
"Truly the best boy 😭😭😭," Mauricio chimed in.
"Happy birthday Georgie!!! You are the best boy there ever was 💛💛💛," Paige said.
The Pioneer Woman couldn't let the day pass without wishing her favorite grand-dog a happy birthday. "I smiled the whole time!!!" Ree gushed in the comments. "George, you are beautiful and I love you!!!"
Happy Birthday, George! The Drummonds would agree: you are the goodest of good boys.
