We absolutely *love* learning fun facts about Ree Drummond and her family! That's why we were ecstatic when The Pioneer Woman announced that she'd be participating in a livestream with her daughters, Alex and Paige, on Walmart.com. We can always count on those to be worth the watch!
If you didn't catch the live this time around, just know that so much happened. You can watch the full video, which was to showcase her fabulous holiday home collection and new upholstered furniture for the 2023 season. With the help of her daughters and sister Betsy who made a surprise appearance, she was able to do that successfully—but not before they pulled the famous Drummond family prank! 😂 (At this point, everyone knows Ree's history with fake snakes.) Speaking of which, Ree and the girls gave us an inside scoop on some Drummond family holiday traditions—and oh, are they good.
Answering a question from viewers, Paige started off by stating something that happens every year on Thanksgiving.
"I feel like the one thing about our family is that we'll literally eat as early as possible," Paige said. "That's the one thing that distinguishes our family from the rest."
Ree went on to say that she doesn't think that Ladd and Tim could go past the mid-morning without eating their Thanksgiving meal. "Well, we eat at 1:00," she added. "Which means Ladd and Tim are in here at 12."
Alex started mimicking the boys by dipping her fingers into an imaginary bowl.
"The men get hangry... let's just put it that way," Ree giggled, putting the conversation to a close.
It's safe to assume that we all get a little "hangry" before a holiday meal, but the Drummond boys clearly take it to a whole new level. We don't blame 'em, though—they are a family full of hardworking cowboys and busy football players, after all.
There were some more wholesome traditions on the list: the family always request giblet gravy and pecan pie on the menu, and Alex and Paige both enjoy a cup of hot chocolate.
This raises the question: what are some of your family's holiday traditions? Let us know in the comments!
