Spring may not officially be here yet, but that doesn't mean we can't partake in our favorite spring activities a little early, like making a floral centerpiece or planning a cute spring photo shoot! Take it from Ree Drummond, who recently shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes blooper from an outdoor clothing shoot, presumably for her spring clothing line at Walmart.
The priceless video Ree posted to her Instagram story shows four of the Drummond dogs —Rusty, Fred, Shelby, and Duke—eagerly running across the ranch grounds and jumping on Ree as she tries to pose for her clothing shoot. “When the dogs find out there’s a clothing shoot going on and they weren’t informed (or invited),” she captioned the silly snap.
At first, Ree attempts to ignore her dogs, looking up towards the sky with an exasperated laugh. But the lively hounds only get closer and closer, circling her and wagging their tails in excitement. As if the shoot couldn't get any more derailed, Fred jumps up on Ree, leaving dirty paw tracks on her jeans and hand that Ree quickly brushes away. Could these precious pooches get any funnier (or naughtier)?
As the videographer zooms in on the scene, we get a closer look at Ree's black keyhole blouse and dark wash denim from her new spring collection. While her top is adorable, it's safe to say that the dogs, rather than the clothing, were the stars of the show at that moment!
As the furry frenzy continues, Ree points her arm in the opposite direction of where she's standing, commanding the canine quartet to play elsewhere. At first, the dogs ignore her pleas. Soon after, though, the basset hound brothers turn away, and Shelby hilariously follows suit, jumping over their stout bodies like a show dog. 🤣
While we can assume the pups gave up on getting Ree's attention, with tails between their legs, there's no footage beyond Shelby's leap of faith. So, for all we know, they could've successfully crashed and ended Ree's photoshoot! But we hope she was able to get one good shot of the outfit she set out for.
Just in case she didn't, there are plenty more dog-free photos of her spring clothing line on Walmart's website. Shop the other colorways of the blouse Ree rocked in the video and more from her line below!
