This Father's Day weekend, dads received some much deserved praise—and that includes Ladd Drummond. 🤠
The Pioneer Woman shared an adorable throwback photo of the Marlboro Man himself (who is wholesomely referred to as "Laddy Daddy" by the kids) and their youngest son, Todd. Emphasis on "throwback," because Todd appears to be just a wee cowboy in this photo!
Though, if you think the photo alone will be enough to make you melt, just wait 'til you read Ree's caption: "Ladd and Todd, 2006-ish. Todd loved superheroes and thought the branding iron was a sword. 🫤 Despite the rough day, I love this pic from later that evening. Happy Father's Day to the father of my babies. ❤️ 😭"
People were quick to share their admiration in the comments!
"Aww... what a beautiful picture, Ree! 🥹 (despite sweet little Todd's injury! 😢) Happy Father's Day to Ladd, and ALL the wonderful dads out there! 💙💙💙," one person exclaimed.
"Awww! Sweet tough little AND big cowboys. And I'm quite sure mama cowgirl was being super tough for her baby too," another added.
"Todd was always the sweetest kid. ❤️ I'm sure he's older now than I want to know. Let me remember him as this sweet baby boy," another joked. (Honestly, same!)
If you were a reader of Ree's blog back in the early 2000s, you might remember the day she's referring to in her caption as "The Dreaded Call." Rest assured that Todd recovered just fine. After all, he's a college football player who does fun things like attend concerts with his friends and visit the ranch to help his dad every once in awhile. He just celebrated his 20th birthday.
The Drummonds sure do know how to make someone feel special!
