Like mother, like daughter! A love of fashion must be genetic, because Ree and Alex Drummond both know a thing or two about cute and casual style. Case in point: They both recently wore the prettiest embroidered dresses while on a family trip to Vail, Colorado—and it wasn't even planned. "The embroidery girls! 🤓 It's a thing," says Ree about her coincidental coordination with Alex.
Both Drummond ladies shared the pictures on Instagram, giving us a look at their embroidered ensembles. While all dressed up, the two had to stop for an obligatory pic. After all, it only makes sense to document their twinning moment, Alex's pregnancy glow, and their last trip to the mountains without a new baby girl by their side.
Alex's dress is from Anthropologie. The boho number is billowing and beautiful with its 100% cotton fabrication, tiered skirt, and expertly crafted embroidery. Plus, look at those puff sleeves! It comes in standard, petite, and plus sizes so you can find your perfect fit. While Alex added a little cowgirl chic style by slipping on some cowboy boots with her dress, it would look just as wonderful with flats, wedges or even sneakers.
Then, there's Ree. Her dress is actually from one of her favorite retailers: Johnny Was. If it looks familiar, that's because it's the same brand as the dress Ree wore to Paige's engagement party. This one is just as boho-chic with its breezy 100% linen kaftan shape finished with colorful blooms on a rich background. The split neckline, dolman sleeves, and empire waist only add to the design. To keep her look practical, Ree paired it with some comfy sandals.
