Oh, to live the life of George the Golden Floof! On a recent road trip from Aspen back home to Dallas, his human Alex Drummond took to Instagram to capture just what it's like to travel for her golden fur child. And to be honest, it looked pretty pawsome.
That's because Alex and Mauricio had set up a cooling dog bed in the back of the car for their pup to get all nice and cozy. And boy, did he get cozy. Alex documented the adorable snooze session during their 12-hour trek home and he just looked so content that it prompted folks on Instagram to ask Alex where she found it.
Turns out, the dog bed is from Casper, the popular mattress company for humans. George sleeps in the gray, size large, but it's available in multiple colors and sizes on the company site, Amazon, and Chewy. Alex notes that that George "loves it" and in her opinion, it was "very worth it!"
A 12-hour roadtrip can be ruff, whether you're a human or a pet. So finding the dog road trip essentials is key. What Alex (and George, of course) likes about this particular bed is that is is made of memory foam with cooling properties and it has a washable cover. Bonus: The cover is also durable with extra layers on top, so if your doggo likes to dig and scratch to get comfy, it won't rip.
There are supportive foam bolsters on all sides, which creates a safe space for dogs to rest even when they're being jostled around on the highway. Of course, it's perfect for resting at home, too. Dogs spend half of their lives sleeping (true story!) so giving them a supportive and comfortable place to rest is key to their wellbeing.
