Breakfast favorites like fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and biscuits and gravy are always good idea, whether it's morning, noon, or night. And it looks like the folks at The Mercantile, Ree's restaurant and bakery in Pawhuska, agree!
You may be familiar with some of the family favorites dished up at The Merc, like Ree's Perfect Pancakes or hearty breakfast burrito, but now you can now enjoy them at any hour: The Merc just implemented an all-day menu, which means breakfast is served all day.
"Here's the highlight: ALL. DAY. BREAKFAST," reads the Instagram post. "You know what that means... pancakes for dinner! 🥞 You can also now order chicken fried steak for breakfast, complete with eggs and sausage gravy."
Pancakes for dinner and chicken fried steak for breakfast? It seems that time is nothing but a concept at The Merc—not that there are any complaints here.
"This is probably the greatest news I've ever had in my whole life," one user commented.
"Best pancakes I've ever had," another user shared under the post.
The post also shares a few other popular breakfast items served at The Merc, including the Farmer's Breakfast, which features eggs, bacon, tomatoes, and sausage, and the fried pork chops: a classic cowboy breakfast!
And don't miss the Crunchy French Toast, a powdered-sugar covered masterpiece. And if iced coffee is your "cup of tea," a cup of Spicy Cowgirl Coffee is a must-try!
According to Ree, one of her favorite features of the all-day menu is being able to order avocado toast all day long. "The avocado toast is a top five thing on the menu for me—it's so fresh and beautiful," she said. "You can get it with eggs or without, and I've been ordering it for lunch a lot lately!"
Ree and The Merc staff are excited for fall and winter. "After a busy summer, it's always nice to enjoy a slightly slower pace," Ree said. "Fall is such a perfect time to come to The Merc if you want to avoid crowds. There's going to be some street construction in Pawhuska in the coming weeks, so our team is doubling down on food and hospitality so visitors are going to feel especially taken care of!"
Time to start packing!
