The cat is out of the bag: Alex Drummond's nursery reveal included so many pretty details including a pillow with her baby girl's name: Sofia!
But how exactly did Alex and Mauricio decide on this sweet name? Over the weekend, Alex shared the full story behind her baby's name in a Q&A. The soon-to-be-mom did an 'Ask Me Anything' series on Instagram, where people picked her brain about her Christmas tree, George, and, of course, her pregnancy.
"Is Sofia a family name or just a name that you guys just loved?" one viewer asked.
"We just really loved it," Alex replied.
"Honestly, there isn't really much context or background. Long story short, we just loved the name," Alex explained further. "We wanted to pick a name that sounded beautiful in English and Spanish, and so we went with Sofia with an 'f.'"
As for baby Sofia's middle name: "Marie is obviously my middle name and my mom's middle name, so we carried that over," she said.
Ann Marie, Alex Marie, and Sofia Marie...looks like it runs in the family!
"We love Sofia Scott, too; we love the double 'S,'" Alex finished. So there you have it: the backstory behind her baby name!
