"Sofia" isn't the only new name on the Drummond roster! Ahead of her arrival, Alex Drummond took to Instagram to share some details surrounding baby Sofia. The most recent tidbit about the newest member of the Drummond family? Ree and Ladd's probable grandparent names!
"Enjoying a chill evening at home :) Mauricio is cooking steaks for us! Figured a little Q&A would be fun," Alex captioned the latest 'Ask Me Anything' on her Instagram story.
Many of the questions involved food, her favorite products, her pup, and, of course, her pregnancy. One burning question she answered was about grandma names for Ree as well as nicknames for Ladd and Mauricio’s parents.
Alex says, “Mauricio’s mom will be Abuela. Mauricio’s dad and stepmom will be Pap and Kiki.”
As for Ree and Ladd, “We are thinking my parents will be ReeRee and Papa,” says Alex.
Alex explains "ReeRee is my mom's nickname---my grandmother, Gee, still calls her that! I think it's fun and it suits her. And Pa-Pa was my grandpa Chuck's name, so it has a lot of family meaning."
"Of course, we'll let the official names unfold when Sofia arrives," Alex says. "But it's nice to have a couple of ideas ready to go!"
Though becoming first-time grandparents might take some getting used to, Ree and Ladd are always ready for just about anything. "We have no idea what being grandparents will look like or how much it will change our lives," Ree said. But one thing's for certain: There will be many unforgettable ReeRee moments in the days to come.
