Baking Christmas cookies is one of Ree Drummond's favorite holiday traditions. And if you've been tuning into her social media recently, you may have seen her start extra early this year thanks to her gorgeous new stand mixer and the "best cookies in the world," aka her brown sugar oatmeal cookies.
Since posting her first cookie video at the end of October, she admits, "I've made an additional seven batches of this dough. It's the key to Ladd's happiness." And apparently, it's also the key the Santa's happiness! She's back with another cookie video and this time, it's to entice the big guy to put her on the nice list.
Ree begins by taking pre-portioned dough from the refrigerator and baking off four of her "dark and magical, chewy and dense" cookies and letting them cool. Next is where the extra Christmas magic comes in: She makes a homemade hot chocolate recipe (with double the marshmallows obviously) and serves them together on the cutest little matching mug and tray set.
"Warning: My Christmas spirit is comin' in hot this year," she explains (quite literally thanks to the piping hot pour). Between the scrumptious treats and the very merry way they're served, Santa will have a hard time resisting. The cookie tray set is actually part of Ree's holiday collection at Walmart and comes in two equally festive patterns: Holly Toss and Merry Meadow.
Both stoneware mug and tray sets are priced at just under $13 making them a great bargain for spoiling Santa and an excellent gift idea under $15 if you're looking to treat someone on your nice list... or yourself. After all, everyone deserves a little gift to give themselves during the stressful holiday season, right? 😉
