Alex Drummond has been soaking up every sweet moment of motherhood since her baby girl Sofia was born just over a month ago. Whether she's opening up about her postpartum experience or just sharing fun photos of Sofia's first rodeo, Alex has been candid about what life with a newborn really looks like. But her most recent Instagram story might be her most relatable yet—and it's one every first-time mom will understand.
On their way to Sofia's one-month pediatrician appointment, Alex shared a video of herself sitting in the back of the car while the front passenger seat was left empty. In the clip, she admitted she has a hilarious (and very real) question for other new parents: "At what point do we stop riding in the backseat with our infant?"
"Every time Mauricio and I go somewhere, I'm automatically sitting in the back with Sofia," she explained. "Obviously so I can stare at her the entire drive and make sure she's still breathing."
Can you blame her? We only see pros here: First, this habit gives Alex more time to admire Sofia's adorable face. Second, it offers her some extra peace of mind while they're in the car. Finally, did we mention the part about how cute Sofia is?!
"I just want to know that I'm not alone in this," Alex joked. "I may never ride in the front seat again."
Fair enough! And if you're wondering how the appointment went, Alex said Sofia "aced" it. She also posted a photo of the little angel after her checkup, which we'll share here (since you don't have the luxury of riding in the backseat next to her 😂). In the sweet snap, Sofia looks calm and cozy—once again totally unfazed by her big day out.
Between snow days, family photoshoots, and cuddles with her furry big brother, Sofia has already packed a lot into her first month. This tiny pookie head sure is keeping her parents busy!
