At Drummond Ranch, the Easter egg hunt isn't just a tradition... it's a full-contact sport. And Ree Drummond's grown-up kids are not above a little friendly competition to get their hands on the best loot!
Ree shared a video from this year's annual egg hunt, and it's safe to say the spirit of childhood is still alive and well in her family. (Even if everyone involved is technically an adult.) In the hilarious clip, her garage door slowly opens as the unmistakable sound of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" builds in the background. Then, just as the chorus hits, out crawl Todd, Bryce, Alex, Paige, Mauricio, David, and the rest of the kids—with at least half of them belly-crawling under the door like it's a military operation. 😂
They're all decked out in matching "Drummond Family Easter" sweatshirts and each carrying a monogrammed L.L. Bean tote, which only adds to the competitive nature of this sport. And what happens next is pure mayhem. They scatter in all directions, scanning the ground and laughing hysterically, only barely resisting the urge to shove one another out of the way. "Such a lovely, calm, serene family Easter," Ree joked.
Competitiveness runs deep in the Drummond household! (That's what happens when your sons play football. 😂) It's all in good fun, of course—but Ree might need to start thinking about a junior division soon. At four months old, baby Sofia isn't ready to join the chaos just yet, but give her a year or two and she'll be toddling after eggs herself. The real question is whether Alex and Mauricio will let her win. Only time will tell.
For now, we'll just keep enjoying the hilarious family traditions that make holidays on the ranch feel a little extra special and a whole lot more entertaining!
