Paige Drummond has had a momentous few days! She married David Andersen in a stunning ceremony on the ranch on Saturday, then got to celebrate late into the night (until 2:00 am!) with friends and family and snack on wedding cake leftovers Sunday afternoon at Ree and Ladd's house.

But that was just the start of a flurry of activities that followed. As Paige later posted on her Instagram, she had "an eventful first 48 hours of marriage to say the least!" Things went from good to not great to way better in that short span of time.

So what happened? First, the good news: Tuesday, three days after the wedding, was David's birthday! Paige popped onto Instagram stories to share a fun photo from the weekend and a lovely note: "Happy birthday to my HUSBAND! I love you so much!"

Rewind a bit: After they snacked on their leftover wedding cake Sunday afternooon, Paige and David drove five hours to Dallas, where they packed and got ready to leave the next morning for their honeymoon in Costa Rica.

Now, the "not so good": While packing, David discovered that his passport was nowhere in sight. (Every traveler's nightmare!) "We were supposed to leave on Monday morning, but David's passport actually dropped off the face of the earth," Paige explains. Even though he had taken steps to put it in a specific place, in all the wedding excitement it became irretrievably misplaced (or lost!) Alas, they couldn't leave on their scheduled Monday flight, which had been booked for months.

As Ree tends to do, she encouraged the newlyweds to embrace the minor inconvenience as their first trial run of dealing with stress as a married couple. "I gave Paige a 100% guarantee that the second she was lying on the beach on their honeymoon, she'd laugh about this wrinkle," said Ree, who will have been married to Ladd for 29 years this September.

Thankfully for Paige and David, a passport office in Dallas came to the rescue Monday afternoon: They helped rush David a new passport in a mere 24 hours, and the duo was on their way to their honeymoon by Tuesday morning, just 24 hours late. Paige posted from their flight, sporting two passports and two new wedding rings.

From the looks of everything (just look at them look at each other 😍), all's well that ends well. In her followup post, Paige and David were all smiles as they headed to dinner on the first night of their honeymoon to properly celebrate his birthday with a big steak. Hopefully, the next 48 hours of their new marriage will be a little more relaxing!
