It's safe to say that in his few short years as Alex Drummond's first child, George the Golden Floof is quite adept at traveling. He's enjoyed trips to Aspen in his cozy dog bed and often makes it back to the Drummond ranch in Pawhuska. "George is a professional road tripper at this point," Alex once joked.

But now that he needs to share space with his human sister Sofia, things had to be rearranged a bit. No longer can the entire back of the car be his! He seems to be a good sport about it, though, and still stays comfy. That's because Alex added a dog seat cover and extender to provide more room. On a recent Q&A on Instagram, she shared the info.

When asked about the "seat divider thingy " (which is 100% another acceptable term for it), Alex shared the link and said, "This thing has been amazing for traveling, especially now that we have Sofia." That's because it can extend a regular back seat in a car, SUV, or truck to 25 inches wide!

To install, all you have to do is clip the car seat buckle and hang the strap on the headrest pole. It extends 52 inches in length, so it can cover the entire space, giving a dog enough room to get comfy and not slip between the seats if you need to hit the breaks suddenly. And it's just as easy to remove if your pup isn't in tow and you need the space for other passengers.

What's more is the seat waterproof and wear resistant, ideal for a dog's many adventures and misadventures. Other reviewers note how it's "easy to sweep off and wipe down," which is particularly useful if you have a furry doggo like George.

And not only will it keep your dog safe, it helps keep your car seats safe and clean! No more accidental dog nail scratches or bite marks, no scuffs or drool marks to try and wipe up. So, it's just as useful to the human as it is for the pup. That's surely a win-win no matter how much time your dog spends in the car with you.

While there's no official word (woof?) from George on how he feels about the new travel arrangements, Alex is most certainly giving her new car seat cover a recommendation. You can find it in two different colors and two size options depending on your make and model... of car and dog, of course.
