After a tough week of momming, sometimes it's nice to take a few minutes to yourself, which is exactly what Alex Drummond did over the weekend! Little Sofia is teething, so even with her planned 30-20-10 nap method, it's been a bit of a challenge to find time to decompress.
In the few minutes she did find to herself, she checked out a few new items from Rhode for a little self care. (For those not in the know, that's Hailey Bieber's popular skincare line that just launched exclusively at Sephora.)
While Alex has already been a fan of the line, she says, "It's so nice now that they have their stuff at Sephora, and I can just run in and grab it." First up: "I am obsessed with their blush." The Pocket Blush in Sprinkle, which is a warm pink that she calls a "perfect everyday blush." It applies easily with a creamy texture and gives you just the right amount of color, even if you don't wear any other makeup.
Next up, Alex showed two different peptide lip tints. "Okay, as a lip balm fanatic, I'm super impressed with this!" she says. She admits that the previous iterations of the product were a little grainy, but the new formula "feels really really nice and I love the applicator."
Lip peptides are meant to be a two-in-one product. They hydrate, moisturize, and smooth lips while also providing a bit of color. She gave Jelly Bean a go first, for a little added sparkle. "This is going to be a new favorite," she predicts after applying it.
She also purchased the Strawberry Glaze, which doesn't have sparkle just to switch things up. Hey, it's nice to have options, right? All of these items are great on their own, as a little pick-me-up of color even if you decide to forgo any other products. Simple makeup routines are where it's at when you're a busy mom!
