20 Throwback Photos of the Drummond Family That Will Absolutely Make You Smile
Actually, Ree's first day of school photo might make you laugh out loud.
Just like the rest of us, the Drummond family have had some adorable, awkward, and downright funny phases growing up—and plenty of them got caught on camera.
Ree, for example, survived ballet, braces, and angel costumes—only to subject her daughters, Alex and Paige, to similar mall kiosk photoshoots when she became a mom. Ree's sons, Bryce and Todd, were once the cutest tiny cowboys at the ranch. Now it's hard to keep up with who's taller! As for Ladd, he pretty much looks the same as he did in the '70s, save for a little more facial hair. Some people get all the luck.
To celebrate the Drummonds' delightfully great younger years, take a look back at some of their best throwback photos. There's a lot of adorable baby pictures, as well as some pretty hilarious moments from Ree's childhood. (Let's just say, her first day of school outfit made a statement.)
Though they aren't exactly little anymore, Ree still continues to capture all the important moments with her kids, because every single Halloween costume and vacation is worth remembering.
"I cherished 'em then, but I really cherish 'em now," she says. "And I cherish every second I have with them."

"This 1970-something school pic of my husband always makes me smile," Ree says. "And sometimes cry, depending on what my hormones are up to."

"A photographer's assistant was sitting under the table holding on to Paige's roly poly legs and I was standing next to the photographer trying to get her to look at the camera," Ree says. "But her cheeks were so chubby, she couldn't hold her head up!"

"This was not a costume," Ree admits. "I REPEAT: THIS WAS NOT A COSTUME. I was on my way to the bus."

"My tiny girls (and my tiny arms, ha) in Yellowstone in...2003? Or maybe it was 1947," Ree says. "Either way, it was forever ago."

"He was the youngest of three boys and I've heard reports that he was ornery," Ree says. "I believe the reports."

"We were so proud of this costume, my oldest and me," Ree recalls. "And then...the dreaded words...they were more terrifying than any Halloween ghoul: 'I hafta go to the bathroom.'" 💀

Thirty five years ago, Ree attended the "Snowball Dance" with her girlfriends. Yes, that's 3-5. No further questions at this time. 😂

Wasn't it a rule that everyone had braces at age 13? At this point, Ree was about a year away from falling deeply in love with Billy Idol.
