Alex Drummond Gives a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Filming 'The Pioneer Woman'

There's never a dull moment on the set of The Pioneer Woman!

When Ree Drummond's family first started filming her cooking show almost two years (!!!) ago, she didn't know what to expect. Now, it's hard to imagine an episode without her kids behind the camera.

"They may be a little silly at times, but they very accurately depict what things are like in our kitchen, our lives, our daily routine," Ree says. "It’s nice to just start cooking and see what happens–the good, the bad, and the tasty."

Somewhere between running from pack rats and pranking each other with snakes, Ree and her motley film crew figured this whole thing out. Alex recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at a full day of filming at The Lodge and we've got to say, it looks pretty darn professional! There were outfit changes, lighting checks, still photography moments, and more. Of course, there were also basset hound cuddles and snack breaks in-between, and the day ended with taste-testing new cocktails at P-Town. Hey—every job has its perks!
