Ree Drummond Shares Her Top 24 Favorite Pictures of Sofia Since She Was Born

This was the day she was born, just a few days before Christmas. I can't stand the cuteness (I also can't believe how much she's grown in four short months.) And I can't believe the swaddling blankets in the hospital haven't changed their pattern in thirty years!

These were the early days. It's been so fun to watch Mauricio leap into fatherhood. He loves her and drinks in all the moments.

Against her grandmother's objections, Alex and Mauricio took this child to a rodeo in Fort Worth when she was just a few weeks old. At least she wore ear protection! Those cowboys can get loud!

Paige and I were in Vail, Colorado in February and missed Alex a lot. It was still a little early for her and Sofia to make the trip, so we FaceTimed on a daily basis! Look at that little petunia.

This was the weekend Alex, Mauricio, and Sofia visited for Super Bowl Sunday. I can't believe how tiny she was. It's been fun to see how much Paige is obsessed with her.

Super Bowl Weekend, I could not stay away from her, and I was glad because I got to see this little tiny smile. It's mostly with her eyes, but I melted on the dang spot.

Mauricio came late Super Bowl weekend (during the Super Bowl!) because he'd been on a trip, and he went straight for Sofia. Remember those days, when you spent a few hours away from your new baby and it felt like an eternity?

Alex was in the guest house when she was taking a photo and Sofia flashed a big smile. She sent it to me (from across our yard, hahaha) and I nearly passed out from the cuteness. (Look at her chin dimple!)

Yes, she's technically Alex's baby. Yes, she's technically Mauricio's baby. But she's actually really sort of kind of my baby, too. I could sit in this spot forever and never get up.

I love the smiles, I love the fussiness, and I especially love the silly face moments that we occasionally catch. I zoomed in on her face really closely and turned it into my phone wallpaper. Raise your hand if you do that, too!

I'm open to seeing what name Sofia gives me, but Alex and Mauricio have consistently called me Ree-Ree, so who am I to argue? Ladd has to be Pa-Pa, I think, because his dad was, his grandpa was, and his great-grandpa was. It feels right.

Goodness gracious. I really don't know what to say, do, think, or feel. She's a dandy!

I went to Dallas to stay with Alex while Mauricio was at David's bachelor weekend, and we had the best time going for walks and sitting on the patio. (Peanut alert! Oh my gosh, she's so cute.)

There's a lot to unpack in this photo. The bloomers. The chunky legs. The polka dot hearts. The massive ruffle. But I think the matching pacifier takes the prize.

My mom and Betsy came over on Easter weekend to have some Sofia time! It's pretty great that my mom can enjoy her. I miss Nan and wish she was here to see Sofia. She would be beside herself.

The expressions are ramping up and they are funny! Also, she's getting a little balder all the time---you can definitely see this on the back of her head. Also, she looks like Alex looked as a baby (it's eerie!)

It's crazy how comfortable Sofia is with Paige. Betsy and I have talked about this through the years---that my children just had a comfort with her, and I had a comfort with Elliot, that is mystical. Sisters!

I'm going to blow up this photo to wall-sized and have it framed so I can look at her knuckle dimples every single day.

I think Sofia accidentally got visited by the Easter Bunny about thirteen times, and you know what? That is 100% okay. We'll worry about next year next year. 😂

Alex hasn't put bows on Sofia very often, so I had to get used to this when they walked into our small town church on Easter morning. But it only took me about ten seconds to get used to it.
